Canadian Health Coalition National Coordinator to Speak in Halifax
Halifax, NS – Mike McBane, National Coordinator of the Canadian Health Coalition will address the Nova Scotia Federation of Labour Convention on Sunday, Oct 23rd at 7:15 pm at the Holiday Inn Halifax Harbourview Hotel in Dartmouth.
McBane will speak on the coming 2014 Health Accord and what possibilities exist at both the federal and provincial levels. The 2014 Health Accord is a negotiated agreement between the provincial, territorial and federal governments on funding for public health care into the future.
“Canadians want and expect national leadership but we will need to be active and mobilized across the country to push the conversation in the right direction and make sure patients needs are met,” says McBane.
