Health Network Tour heads to Yarmouth County

 

The Nova Scotia Citizens’ Health Care Network’s summer tour arrives in Yarmouth County on Thursday, August 18th.

The Health Network is raising awareness and mobilizing activists around the coming 2014 Health Accord.  Network Coordinator, Kyle Buott, will be meeting with local activists to distribute window signs that say “Health Accord 2014 Must: Protect, Strengthen, Extend Medicare”. Buott will be meeting with local women’s centres, unions, seniors and community organizations.

An information picket will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, August 18th in front of the Post Office in Yarmouth.

Individuals can get windows signs by emailing kyle@nshealthcoalition.ca .  Please include a mailing address and the number of signs requested.

Buott will be available to meet with local media.  The Health Network would like to meet with local editors and journalists to provide background information on the Health Accord.
