Forum on Women’s Health and 2014 Health Accord

Halifax, NS – The Nova Scotia Citizens’ Health Care Network, Women’s Action Alliance for Change (WAC-NS) and the Dalhousie Women’s Centre will host a forum on Women’s Health and the 2014 Health Accord on Tuesday, March 6th, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the JBO Centre of the North End Community Health Centre, 2103 Gottingen St. This event is in the lead up to International Women’s Day on March 8th.

The federal Conservative government has decided to cut $21 billion from public health care from 2017-2024. These cuts will disproportionately affect women, as they are the majority of health care workers and the majority of patients, as well as the primary care givers in families.

The public is encouraged to attend and light refreshments will be served. The event is open to everyone.
